I'm visiting my daughter who lives/works in Oslo, Norway, and this trip we took a long weekend to Stockholm, Sweden.

Stockholm is made up 14 islands, and we visited 3 - Sodermalm, Galma Stan & the main city center of Scandic/Stockholm city.  Galma Stan was a small "tourist" type of island, with many quaint shops, cobblestone streets, historical buildings including the Palace.  

Its very easy to get around between the islands by walking, riding buses, local trains and the "T" - faster/larger train system.
