ARTIST

I discovered beading in 2001, and began stringing and wireworking, as many beadworkers have done.  Gravitating towards bangle bracelets, I discovered bead crochet and loved the ease with which I could take my work with me anywhere – traveling by plane, in a car, on my lunch hour at work.  Other techniques I now work in include right angle weave, russian netting, spiral rope, ladder & peyote stitch and something I call “wireweaving” – “sewing” with wire – a new technique I’ve developed.

There’s nothing better than taking classes, and I’ve now gone into teaching after taking many classes with wonderful teachers to guide me in my creative quest.

Beadworking can be the most relaxing art form, with some techniques meditative in their repetition.  And, while my bead “stash” continues to change as I do, my love for this artform grows stronger.  Sharing my passion for beadworking is a great joy that I am excited to share with others.  Please stop by my site and catch up with my blog.

NEW:  Bead Crochet Book from Kalmbach Publishing, tentative release date of January 2013.  I’ve had the distinct honor and privledge to be selected by Kalmbach Publishing to author a comprehensive book on Bead Crochet.  Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Patterns will be featured in the book, which will include many patterns and images from accomplished artists.  Also a Beginner DVD will be included in the book – how exciting is that!  Beginners will be able to successfully start and learn the techniques necessary to make bracelets, necklaces, & earrings using bead crochet techniques.
